Get a car insurance in Britain if you want to drive

In Britain you are required to have your name on the car insurance certificate if you are driving that car.

Meaning; unlike in the rest of the world where if you have a drivers license you can drive any car, in Britain you can’t!!!  You have to have your name included on the insurance of that one particular car, or own a car in your name with a valid insurance on it.

If you are driving your mother’s or wife’s or husband’s or anybody’s car and you are not on their insurance or don’t own a car in your name with insurance on it and the police stops you, they’ll charge you with driving without an insurance. They’ll tow your car to a pound yard (cost £150 to bail it out) also fine you at least £200 pounds, and you will also get 6 points on your license.

Beside all this. If you don’t get your car out of the pound that same day, you’ll also be charged an additional £25 pounds per day storage charge.

It’s a scam and the British government makes millions per year off of it. Otherwise not even an IDIOT would believe it is a valid law. Just don’t make any other sense or logic.

So, if you are a visitor to the country you are only able to drive a rental car and nothing else. (hire car -they call it Britain)

You can also buy a Day insurance or short term insurance they call it, online only. This insurance is only available online. You can specify how many days you want it for and pay it by credit card. The cost will depend what kinds of drivers license do you have. If it’s British it’s cheaper. If it’s from the EU it will cost more, if from other countries, you might not even be able to get one.

Yeah I know, Britt logic is legendary around the world!!
