How to speed up your computer and in top running condition, for FREE.

Meaning, using free software, freely available on the net. These are what I use and in a minute I am going to tell you what machine I have and what programs are open all at the same time.

I am not getting any profit out of this other than knowing that some people will have faster machines and less aggravation with their computer. However at the bottom there is a link to a great program, I think it’s well worth to buy, if you are serious to make money with your computer.

Ok. Here we go. Right now I have two browsers open with a total of 80 tabs. (80 tabs) Firefox has 59 tabs open and google Chrome has 21. Beside these, I have Outlook express running, I have skype running, I have Avira Antiviral running,  I have XSitePro Web building software running and also Serif Webplus Websoftware running. I also have Market Samurai and Total commander. I am also listening to the radio through Winamp.

I just have all those Browser tabs open, because I use them as a bookmark. I can’t remember all the sites I like and in the bookmark folder I can’t remember under what name they are stored. The browsers have a feature in the options where you can specify where to restart after you turn it off for the night.

It says -blank page, home page, or reopen the pages that were open last. I have mine set at -reopening the last pages, so when I turn my machine on in the morning I have all the sites I’ve had the day before.

My machine is a Dual core AMD 4400 running at 2400MHZ with 3 GB memory and 4 Hard drives installed in it and the DVD/CD writer.

I also have 4 USB ports full in the back and 6 on the front with 3 of them occupied the rest occasionally.  I also have a laser printer and an inkjet printer hooked up and running.

Regardless of all these application and peripherals using the processor and memory, my machine is fast and when I press the return key it loads whatever within a second or two. Webpages are quick to load and so is applications. I am also having a 20MB internet speed through cable.

The softwares I am using to keep it in top shape are  –Free windows registry Repair, –Advance System Care-the free version, Malware Bytes anti malware-the free version. Avira Antivirus.

I usually run them once a week or once every two weeks depending on my mood.

What I like about them, is that they are fast. Don’t take half hour to do their jobs and keep my machine fast. Avira Antivirus takes up little memory and catches the viruses good and fast. I never run my antivirus software outside of the automatic setup it defaults to after installation.

Automatically updates itself daily so I don’ t have to worry about that either.

I don’t care about a visual animated buttons or fancy graphics on my desktop, so in the –Control panel/system/advanced/performance, I have set it to “best performance“.  That cuts out all the unnecessary animations and eye candy that slows the machine.  You can also add more memory.

  50. I don’t think it really has anything to do with the memory sticks or the reader itself because when the USB is plugged in the sticks, reader and unit seems to work just as it should but when it is unplugged the issue is again apparent.
