How to make extra cash in Britain

People come to Britain from the EU in the hope of a better living and making more money than they are making in their home countries. The money is there one just have to bend down and pick it up.

Many  immigrants finding making some extra cash fairly easy while some finds it harder. The only difference between the two groups lays in the attitude.  While some think as business people the others are thinking as the consumer. The consumer is always picky and because of that they are always buying for themselvs and unable to make money, while the business minded ones see an opportunity and act on it.

One of the most easiest ways to make extra money are car boot sales. I am not saying you need to go out and sell your stuff at car boot sales, but I am saying you go and buy good quality stuff at dirt cheap prices and resell them online. One can make a very nice living doing that. Selling at carboot sales are nothing but entertainment because one can’t really make money there. Prices are very very low and selling items for 50 pence or 20 pence or a pound not going to make one rich.

One  have to get familiar with what sells online and what not. If you go to car boot sales enough times and also watching online auction places like ebay you can get familiar with the market pretty quick.

Car boot sales have a wide variety of merchandise. Mostly used but there are some new ones too.  We are (me and my wife) buying antique silver and silver plated items and paintings and also electronics and baby stuff and children stuff including clothing, shoes, toys, etc. and resell them online for ususally several hundred percent profit. Most of our items sell for over a 1000 percent profit. Now that’s a good return on investment. The money turns around quick and one is able to start with just a little cash and by re-investing it able to build a substantial investment in only one season.

Most car boot sales operate during the summer months. Meaning from  Easter to about mid October.  There are carboot sales during the winter months too but not that many. Although we find a lot of valuable items during the winter too, there are far more during the summer. Just this past weekend I had purchased 8 items for a total of £30 pounds that I am able to resell for around £200 pounds online and that’s about a 600% percent return on investment. Not much money but only took me about an hour of my time.

There were much more items I could have bought and increase my profit but I was in a hurry.  If one is business minded, on a typical summer weekend can make an easy £500 pounds profit with less then a £100 pounds investment and that’s only working two days a week. Saturday and Sunday.

Most carboot sales are on Saturday or Sunday. The opening hours vary. Some opens early in the morning, like 6am,  some opens in mid morning around 10am and some opens around 12 noon. Have to go there and check the opening times or look in the local paper as most of them running ads in the local papers. Anywhere you go in Britain you will find one nearby during the summer.
