Car insurance increase for women in the UK

Starting from today, March 1st 2011 women will be discriminated for getting car insurance in the UK, according to BBC news.

As we know car insurance the way it is structured in the United Kingdom today is nothing but SCAM.

But in the UK, Insult comes to SCAM, as car insurers are starting to charge women drivers as much as 50+% more for insuring them.  Of course the usual explanation from their part relating to higher risk. We all know it’s total bull.

If we would look at the real data on car insurance history, we would find that MOST car owners never have a claim in their life. Meaning, they are pure profit for these scamming companies. The ones that have claims are scammed by the insurers as they (the insurance companies) allow exorbitantly high repair bills to effect their judgement, thus artificially increasing their cost on paper.

Here is an example. Friend of mine had purchased a 2001 Volvo S60 on ebay for £1,550 pounds in December of 2010. In January of 2011 he had had a flat tire and in the curve slid into a farmers field taking with him some shrubbery as the car slid. The car had minimal damage, such as the front and rear bumper plastic  (The plastic that covers the bumpers) popping off of their bracketts, the front fog light broke, a small dent just above the fuel filler and a punctured window washer fluid tank and one flat tire.  The max repair bill shouldn’t be more than a few hundred pounds.

In the UK a towing company have to be approved by the insurance company in order to tow the vehicle and they are usually the ones that also repair the vehicles. So they estimated the repair on the car to be over £3,000 pounds.

The price of the car varies depending where one sell it. Ebay as we know have depressed prices on everything thus the low purchase price. This particular car have been valued by the insurance company (Allianz) at £2,500 pounds for insurance purposes, but goes as high as £4,000 pounds. Because of the repair bill came in at over the car’s value, the insurance company will write it off as a total loss and crush the car in. Thus damaging the environment, (more natural resources are used for building more cars), increasing my friend’s insurance rate and allowing  a scam to develop.

Why? Because the car is perfectly safe and drivable. Just the front tire have to be changed and the  bumper plastic popped back onto their holding bracket and the washer fluid tank changed. that’s all the repair have to be done to the car. Instead they will pay him the appraised value of the car and increasing his rate and all of our rates, claiming high expenses and losses. Yet insurance companies are making billions in profit.

Mandatorizing car insurance is a SCAM as we know it. They use it to Blackmail everyone, saying I don’t want someone to hit my car and not paying for the damage.

I say, I take my car out on the road at my own risk, knowing someone might hit it with their car and if I want insurance on it than I want to insure my own self and my own car against such accidents and not someone else’s.

This works on the same principal but would cut the Scamming insurance companies out of the blackmail market. Why? Because there would be no exorbitant mandatory insurance rates since if I find it to high I will not buy it from them. So they would be competent in their rates and would be run as a business instead of as a SCAM. Than the actual losses and profits would be reflecting the real cost to the industry.

The way it is structured now it takes as much as it can from people’s pocket. There is no reason that in the UK or in the USA for a young driver to pay 3,000-5,000 pounds or dollars for a car that cost 500 pounds or dollars, just because they are young. In Hungary that same driver pays a Whopping £130 pounds per year for that same car!!!!!  £130 pounds. About $200 Dollars per year. An adult driver pays about a £100 pounds or less per year with the same insurance company for the same insurance.

There is no reason for a woman to pay more just because they are female.

There is no reason for me to pay insurance on someone else’s Ferrari and I drive a cheap ford focus.

It would be time that everyone wakes up and do something about this blackmailing SCAM industry!!!!

    1. Hi. Most Blogs like WordPress for an example do have WYSIWYG editors indeed. Online blogs like wordpress.com or blogger.com have WYSIWYG editors too.

      The interface is simple and plenty of plugins to customize. So just pick one and spend some time and figure it out. No magic to it at all. Thanx for visiting
